Walk past the front door everyday the woods are magjcal
Historic old church set in wooded surroundings. Vast grounds and war memorials. Small extension added. The church was cold in temperature but blankets were provided underneath the pews. Activities for families and children held regularly. Not so accessible for wheelchair users but not impossible. There was only one disabled toilet which served the whole church. Ample parking in wooded clearing.I spent a very peaceful quiet day there reflecting and communing with God. I immersed myself in the surrounding woods taking in the sights sounds and earthy aromas.
Church is still in active use despite being about 1000 years old. The surrounding woodlands are equally beautiful and open to the public.
A pre Norman church built circa 1020 AD possibly even earlier the surrounding woodlands was saved from development by the Rector ( Canon Frederick Warland Rector 1894 _1938 thus maintaining the beautiful environment
